Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills and stains) in one session without having to swap out devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bins, refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads using a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you running with a clean and complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time at all.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models are unable to. Its only minor issue is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but a quick glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs need to be done including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent into the water tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. You can view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is clearly laid out and easy to understand although we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop clean, when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that allows it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
This Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, and determine if they're walls or other surfaces. It is able to change its direction automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, however, it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek and angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process, a mop button that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself, and the bin is auto-filling.
The only issue I have discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with innovative features, superior suction power and advanced mopping capabilities. Its intelligent design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up pet hair as well as crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that makes hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally, the X40 is quiet in it's operation, producing only occasional bursts of noise when switching modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 has an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to get under furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that allows the X40 to prevent damage to floors from excessive back-and forth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or separately. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is easy to use and intuitive and the X40 has many smart features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. robot vacuum uk can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features which make it a good option for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, washes mop pads and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It will also tell you the moment when the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and notify you of the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has several features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.
The mop mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This feature is great because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. It's a system that we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and could be a useful way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There are plenty of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or direct buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also offers many functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and sophisticated. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots on this list, at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
